Someone was hurt
Injury is for a solicitor. The car is for us.
If anyone was hurt, that part of your claim needs a specialist solicitor. We are not one, and we do not give injury advice. Everything about the car still runs with us, at the same speed.
- We never advise on injury
- Solicitor referral, no payment to us
- Vehicle claim unaffected
If anyone is hurt now, call 999.
If it is not an emergency, call 111 or see your GP and ask for the visit to be recorded. Do this before anything on this page. A record made early matters later, and nobody at Courtesy Cars UK can make it for you.
Two claims, two people
Where our job stops
An accident with injury has two parts. We handle one. A solicitor handles the other. Keeping them apart protects you.
Injury: we don't
- Advise you on any injury, however small
- Put a value on an injury or say what it might be worth
- Pursue an injury claim, or any part of one
- Take a payment from a solicitor for passing on your details
We are not solicitors. Injury advice from anyone who is not a solicitor is a warning sign. If we are ever asked, the answer is: speak to your solicitor.
The car: we do
- Deliver your replacement car and handle the hire
- Deal with the at-fault insurer about the vehicle
- Arrange recovery, storage and repair updates
- Itemise your vehicle-related losses
- With your permission, pass your details to a specialist solicitor
Your car still arrives within 2 hours inside London. The insurer is still notified on day one. Nothing about the vehicle waits for the injury claim.
The hand-off
How the referral works
Calm and simple. You stay in control of who you speak to.
You tell us someone was hurt
In the 90-second report or on the phone. We do not ask for details of the injury. We do not need them.
We ask your permission
Only with your yes do we pass your name and number to a solicitor who handles road traffic injury. Or you can choose your own.
The solicitor contacts you
They explain their terms and your options. Any agreement is between you and them. We are not part of it and we are not paid for it.
Worth knowing
Things a solicitor will tell you
- There are time limits for injury claims. Ask early rather than late.
- Medical records made soon after the accident matter.
- You can choose any solicitor. You do not have to use the one we suggest.
- Do not accept an early offer from an insurer without advice.
This is general information, not advice. Only your solicitor can advise you on an injury.
